Help is available after regular University operating hours. If you need assistance at night or on the weekend, the following agencies or University departments can provide immediate assistance, then be able to refer you to a SAVA:

  • LSU Residential Life-- Provides confidential assistance if you live on-campus. Contact the staff person on-call for your area/building. To find out who that is on any given night, contact the front desk in your building and ask for the name and phone number for the staff person on-call. Or, you can call the University Operator (dial "0") and ask to be transferred to the front desk of your building.
  • Battered Women's Program-- Provides crisis hotline, safety planning, safe housing, and/or protective order assistance for women in abusive relationships. 225-389-3001 or 1-800-541-9706 (state-wide hotline)
