Our medical laboratory collects and performs testing ordered by the SHC or outside physicians. It is certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), which established Federal quality standards for laboratory testing. The on-site testing is collected and performed by licensed Medical Technologists. Tests that are not performed on-site are sent to a CLIA approved reference laboratory. There is a charge for laboratory testing.
LSU Chemistry Profile is offered by the Laboratory to faculty and staff by appointment at a $20 fee. Results should be interpreted by your personal primary care physician.
