Eligibility and Fees

Full-Time Student Eligibility

All students who are identified by the University as full-time students are required to pay the Student Health Center (SHC) fee, which is included in their tuition and fees.

Part-Time Student Eligibility

Part-time students have the option either of paying the SHC fee or a per-visit fee. Part-time students can elect to pay the fee when they register for classes. They can also pay the fee at any time during the semester in Medical Records or Mental Health Service. They start receiving services at the time they pay the fee.

If a student has dropped from full-time to part-time status during a semester and has received a full or partial refund of the SHC fee from the Office of Bursar Operations, that student must decide either to repay the remainder of the SHC fee or pay the $25.00 per-visit fee. Part-time students who have previously paid the per-visit charge and later decide to pay the SHC fee will not receive credit for past visits.

Payment

The Cashier Area accepts cash, checks with appropriate identification, TigerCard, MasterCard & Visa . Students are not required to pay at the time of service. All unpaid charges are automatically transferred to their fee bill and can be viewed on PAWS.

In addition, the Cashier area can assist students with filing insurance claims.
